Ushuaia National Park

Hi All,

After a slow start this morning, I decided to go and visit Ushuaia's National Park, renowned for the beauty of its sceneries. I must admit I was hesitating at first to go and visit the park alone, but the owners of the B&B I'm staying at really recommended my going. I have no regret.

To get there, I had to take a bus. Or should I say, a minivan, driven by a charming yet scary looking old man. He had dark skin, his face was wrinkled, but he had beautiful blue eyes. He was wearing a hat just like Crocodile Dundee! His minivan must date back to the 70s as everything was shaking during the drive. You had dirt on the floor, and part of the seats' fabric was torn. I thought: "what the heck am I doing here?!" I was alone in the minivan on my way to the park, so not very reassured.

There were 3 or 4 stops where the driver could drop you off, when you entered the park and paid the entrance fee. I chose the one just before the place I had to go to to catch the return "bus". He left me there, and I thought "right... where am I and where's my map?". Those who know me know that I have a terrible sense of direction, so this was another "adventure" for me!

The park is surrounded by mountains with snow at their tops. There are many lakes and vegetation. Appreciate the pictures...
