Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,

Five years and a bank loan later, I went on a expedition to Antarctica with "2041" from the 27th of February 2012 to the 12th of March 2012. As you can well imagine, this was an exceptional and enriching experience as I got to visit a part of a remote and seldom visited place in the world. This last place of wilderness transforms anyone who sets foot on it. You are mesmerised by the beauty of an untouched land, seeing a wide range of colours as it isn't only composed of whites and blues, you see magnificent animals, and you understand why it is so important to make sure NO ONE sets their hands on its resources.

Please check out the tab called "The 2012 Expedition" to have access to my daily journal of this expedition. It wasn't always fun. I had adventures inside the adventure!

Now that the expedition is over, it doesn't mean my involvement in the protection of the Antarctica is over. I can now say: "I've been there, I've done it, and I've got the t-shirt"! I am embarking on another journey of transmitting the message on the preservation of the continent via presentations (see the "Presentations" tab).

Please write comments on items where you see a box "poster un commentaire" (sorry, my blog is on a French website).

For those of you who are visiting this blog for the first time, you must know that my main passion is the protection of the environment. I have the privilege of presenting you with a very special project which is a contribution towards protecting this last place of wilderness called Antarctica. Though it is a project that will be undertaken on the long term because you can't fix everything in one go, I believe that this is a major global issue we must address now.

I believe that each step we take in favour of the protection of the environment has a positive impact, and I truly believe that you have your place as great decision makers that can help tip the scale in favour of the protection of Antarctica.

Browse through the pages of this site to find out more.

Enjoy.

Regards ,

Caroline, aka the Frog!
